This notice covers AlphaEncode’s website, font delivery and customer support. Contact the address above about your personal data.

Information and purposes

Website delivery and security involve technical information such as IP address, request time, requested page and browser information. We use this to operate and protect the service on the basis of our legitimate interest in a working, secure website.

When you order, we process the order and payment status, product and license tier, customer contact details and licensee information provided at checkout. For a System license this includes the named system. We use these details to fulfill the contract, verify download entitlement and administer licenses. Payment-card details are entered with the checkout provider, not into AlphaEncode’s website.

Support messages include the contact details and contents you send us. We process them to answer your request, fulfill our contractual obligations or, for other inquiries, pursue our legitimate interest in providing customer support. Records required by law are processed to meet legal obligations.

Service providers

Cloudflare provides website hosting, security and download infrastructure. Creem provides checkout, transaction records and its customer portal. Email service providers process support correspondence. Providers receive the data necessary for their services. Creem’s own processing is described in its privacy notice; Cloudflare provides information about its processing and international safeguards in its privacy policy.

Providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where required, transfers must be covered by an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about safeguards applicable to your data.

Cookies and barcode preview

The barcode preview processes the numbers you enter locally in your browser. They are not submitted to AlphaEncode. Our site does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts. The purchase flow uses necessary, secure cookies to connect checkout to an authorized download: checkout sessions last up to two hours and download sessions up to one hour. The restricted test area also uses a two-hour access cookie. Creem’s checkout and portal have their own cookie practices.

Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for its purpose: support correspondence while handling the request and any related claims; license and order records while needed to establish entitlement, fulfill obligations or resolve disputes; and legally required records for the applicable statutory period. Session cookies expire as described above. Provider-held records are also subject to the provider’s retention policies.

Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact support@alphaencode.com. You may complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman or your local supervisory authority. We do not use your data for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

Contact and order information is necessary to complete a purchase and provide support; without the relevant information we may be unable to fulfill the request. We update this notice when the service or its data processing changes.
