AlphaEncode develops and licenses AlphaEAN. Purchases are processed through Creem as merchant of record. The seller identified at checkout handles the payment, applicable sales taxes and transaction receipt. The checkout purchase terms apply alongside the AlphaEAN license agreement.
Product and license
AlphaEAN is downloadable OpenType font software for EAN-13 and EAN-8 barcodes. Every paid package includes Low, Medium, Standard and High OTF fonts, the English EULA and an English PDF Quick Start guide. No physical product is shipped. Read the End User License Agreement (PDF, English) before ordering.
Desktop licenses cover 1, 5 or 10 named users, with up to two computers per user. The System – Internal license covers one named internal system within one legal entity, including its development, test and production environments. It excludes general desktop use and external SaaS. OEM, webfont, SaaS and distribution rights require a separate written agreement.
The license is perpetual for the purchased major version. Corrective updates for that version are included; future major upgrades, custom integration and guaranteed support response times are not included.
Compatibility
Use the free demo to check your application and printing workflow before purchasing. Compatible OpenType shaping is required. Supply a complete EAN number including its check digit. The font does not calculate check digits, assign GTINs or certify compliance with GS1 specifications. Validate the actual printed output for its intended use.
Prices, payment and delivery
Published EUR prices include applicable taxes and are one-time payments, not subscriptions. The checkout shows the total payable before you confirm the purchase. Banks or payment providers may apply their own currency-conversion charges.
After a successful payment, the font package is delivered digitally. Keep your receipt and download a backup copy. If delivery fails or you cannot access your order, email support with your order number; do not send payment-card details.
Withdrawal, refunds and problems
If you purchase as a consumer, you may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of conclusion of the contract, including after downloading or installing the fonts. Downloading, installing or trying the fonts does not waive this right. This policy applies to consumer purchases; it does not grant a corresponding change-of-mind right to business purchases. Mandatory rights concerning defective or non-conforming digital content remain unaffected.
To request withdrawal or report a problem, send an unambiguous statement to support@alphaencode.com or the postal address above, including your name, order number and purchase date. You may use: “I hereby withdraw from my purchase of AlphaEAN, ordered on [date], order [number], name [name], address [address], notification date [date].” No specific wording is required. Refunds are processed through the merchant of record in accordance with applicable law and checkout terms. A fully cancelled and refunded license ends; stop using and delete the fonts, subject to mandatory law.
Law and disputes
Finnish law applies to the font license without limiting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Contact support first to resolve a complaint. Finnish consumers can contact Consumer Advisory Services and refer an unresolved dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board. Statutory court and dispute-resolution rights remain unchanged.
